Yes, the 2012-2013 season at Alta Ski Area has officially come to an end. That’s one way you could look at it. The other way, and the way we prefer to look at it, is that when the Collins lift stopped spinning at 4:30 pm on Sunday, the countdown to the start of the 2013-2014 season started up. For those of you keeping track, that means that we now have 207 days to go until skiing returns to the slopes of Alta. And while looking forward is what will help us through the following “snowless” months, looking back is what will help us appreciate the great season we had. So, we want to thank you, skiers. Thank you for your support of Alta. Thank you for being our built in sales force – recommending us to friends, colleagues and strangers year after year. Thank you for the passion you have for the great sport of skiing. And thank you for your commitment to Alta, both the place and the ideal. Each and every one of you are the reason that Alta continues to be such a unique and special place.

Now get comfy and enjoy this look back . . .

No matter what type of skiing you like, the 2012-2013 season offered plenty of days for you to get your fix. There were plenty o’ powder days for getting snow in your face just like there were plenty o’ bluebird days to help keep that goggle tan in fine form. Here’s a look back at some of our favorite shots from this winter:

2012-2013 On The Lift With:
This season marked the beginning of “On The Lift With,” a ┬ánew video series highlighting the people and personalities that make Alta the unique, quirky and classic place that it is. With five episodes dropped this season, which you can view here, we’re wondering who you would like to see next season? Sound off and let us know.
