It’s that time of the year again. Not only do we get to celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, but we’re proud to announce the kick-off of the annual Alta Food Drive. A great way to help fight hunger in Utah, the Alta Food Drive starts today and will run through January 15, 2013. This year, we’re attempting to raise $50,000 for the Utah Food Bank. There’s only one way we can do that – with your help.
Wondering why you should donate? Here’s a little food for thought:
-The Utah Food Bank is able to turn each dollar donated into $8 worth of goods and services.
-For each $1 donation, the Utah Food Bank can acquire 4.20 pounds of food.
In a big change from how things worked last year, this year we will be taking ALL donations virtually. Don’t worry, it’s actually a very simple, easy process. Here’s how you do it:
1. Go to: https://www.utahfoodbank.org/virtual-food?Team=2777
2. Enter your donation.
3. Enter donor information.
See, it really is easy. So, jump on your computer and help Alta fight hunger in Utah.
*No food donations will be taken at the New Years Eve Torchlight Parade or at Alta Ski Area. The ticket offices at Alta can accept monetary donations at any ticket window.
