Alta Youth Club (AYC) is a recreational skiing program for ages 8 – 16. The skiing experience includes skill drills, powder skiing, mogul skiing, racing and jumping. The mission of AYC is to have fun while developing well rounded skiing skills. The minimum skill level is confidently skiing parallel turns with a pole plant on Blue Trails. AYC coaches will often use "less difficult" terrain to enhance and develop skiing skills. "More difficult" terrain is used sparingly in the lesson plan to boost comfort zone and create excitement. Skill level, age and conditions determine appropriate activities and terrain for a group.

AYC consists of skiing 14 Saturdays or 14 Sundays with a group of peers and coaches. The approximate coaching ratio is 1 to 8 participants. Due to the popularity of this program, space is limited.
