This time of year the skiers at Alta start to emerge from their gore-tex layers and fat skis do dawn more festive apparel and straight skis. Closing day is creeping up and "frankly" it's hard to hide the excitement for closing weekend festivities.
We had beautiful spring skiing today with warm temps, clear skies and great corn snow. Jacinda Isabey, visiting from New Hampshire, takes full advantage of the conditions, laying down some nice troughs on Razor Back.
There is no strict recipe for what we call "Alta Magic", but when you drop into Devil's Castle to find surprisingly soft turns, flurries happen out of nowhere, and the lighting goes bananas....well that will pretty much do it. Skier: Erika Klenk.
