Thank You From Alta's GM, Mike Maughan
Dear Alta Skiers,
The taste of winter that has rolled through reminds us that we will be skiing soon! This will be our 80th Anniversary Season and we are looking forward to another great snow year.
Our progress with the new Supreme lift began in earnest early this summer with the removal of the old Supreme and Cecret lifts before we could begin with the project of building the new Supreme. Designed by Letner-Poma, the new lift is 5,030 feet long with more than 1,200 feet of vertical. We are working hard to complete the lift in time for our target opening day of Wednesday, November 22, conditions permitting.
Thank you for supporting Alta with the purchase of your season pass. If you haven't already picked up your pass, I encourage you to do so to avoid the lines which occur when people pick up their pass the first day they come skiing. With the return of color pictures on season passes, we anticipate lines may be longer than usual. You can currently pick up your pass either at Alta or at one of our valley locations, or you can arrange to have your pass mailed to you.
Here's how to pick up your pass now so your first day of skiing will be a positive direct-to-lift experience:
* Skier Services Office at Alta's Wildcat Base. Monday-Thursday from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM through November 2. Starting November 6, Skier Services will be open 7 days/week from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. 801.359.1078.
* Alf Engen Ski School Office at Alta's Albion Base. 7 days/week starting September 25 through November 2 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. 801.799.2271.
* Wasatch Powder House (3138 East & 6200 South) Saturdays & Sundays through November 5 from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM.
* Ski' N See (772 East & 9400 South) Saturdays through November 4 from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Hope to see you soon.
