For February 2nd (2/2), the Alta POD is a two-fer - a tutu racer in Alta's annual Groundhog Day race. Incidentally, no one saw their shadow here today, so we're going to be skiing for quite a while. *Edit:* Did I get the Groundhog thing backwards? It doesn't matter, at the rate this winter is going, we'll skiing well into July.

It all started with a hot chocolate stop at the Peruvian, over 30 years ago. Don and Judy Norquist have been bringing their family to stay at the Peruvian Lodge ever since. This year they have nearly 30 people ranging in age from 7 to 79 years. Don is looking forward to skiing Alta for free next year, when he turns 80.
Ten-year-old Theo Mallo started skiing at Alta when he was just two years old. He lives in Hong Kong but his family comes to Alta every winter to ski. That's his mom, Eva Lind-Mallo, skiing behind him.
