The Seventy+ Ski Club brings 150 or so skiers to Alta every year. This year about 50 of them are actually over 80. They get after it so we had to settle for Howard, Tibor and Leone to represent the whole club.
99.5 year old George Jedenoff ignoring the "Caution Grooming Ends" sign to rip down a wind-buffed race hill. When we finally caught him at the bottom (he waited for us) he had the biggest grin on his face we've ever seen. Way to go George, see you next year!
George Jedenoff has been skiing at Alta since the early 60's and is going strong at 99.5 years old. He and his son Nick pose in front of Alta Lodge where they both remember staying long ago. George learned to ski on the Lodge Tow right next to Alta Lodge. Nick and George joined us again over the last couple days, as they do every year, and we can't wait to have them back again next year!
Rollins (Buck) Snelling, getting after the powder at nearly 69 years young (his birthday is in April). Rollins was on the covers of several magazines in the 80's and now he says he's just trying to have some fun and keep his sponsors happy. Let's hope they appreciate him getting this Picture of the Day.
