Lift Ticket Attendant
Skier Services is looking for friendly and helpful team members to work at our lift base areas. This position enables you to interact with our skiers and gives you the opportunity to have ski breaks throughout the workday.
Shifts average 6.5 to 7 hours per day.
Job duties include:
- Monitoring tickets at the RFID gates
- Helping skiers with ticket issues
- Directing skiers to our ticket office areas.
- This is an outdoor position where employees need to be standing at the RFID lift gates.
- Candidates must be capable of skiing in varied snow conditions to get to your assigned work location.
Employee housing is not available.
Candidates should expect to work thru the end of April.
In the style of a European on-mountain bistro, Collins Grill is an unpretentious, full-service restaurant located on the 3rd level of Watson Shelter. Hearty rabbit stew, Morgan Valley organic lamb shanks and poached egg arugula salad are a few signature dishes on our rotating menu.
We are hiring for three to five shifts a week approximately six hours per shift.

Lift Operators play an essential role in mountain operations. They spend their days outside interacting with our skiers. They maintain areas around lifts and tows in all kinds of weather. Skiing opportunities are available every day.
On-site housing is available but limited.
This is a full-time seasonal position. Shifts are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week. Applicants must be able to pass the pre-employment physical screening.
Job duties include:
- Working with all departments and employees on mountain operations
- Providing outstanding skier interaction
- Regulating lift lines
- Operating lifts and tows and monitoring loading and unloading
- Keeping areas around the lifts and tows maintained
- Spending long hours outside in inclement weather
Watson Shelter Café
Watson Shelter is located mid-mountain. The Watson Café isn’t your average ski cafeteria. We serve grass-fed beef, organic soups and deli meats and as many local products as possible. We are looking for motivated individuals who care about quality food and great skiing.
Full-time and Part-time positions are available.
Shifts are four to five hours per day, three to five times per week.
No housing is available at Watson Shelter Cafe.

The Lift Department is looking for a Ski Lift Mechanic. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment associated with ski lifts. Must be able to think critically and solve problems quickly. He/She will also be responsible for the preventive maintenance of fixed grip and detachable ski lifts. Must be comfortable working at heights and skiing expert terrain.
This is a year-round full-time position.
5 years experience is optimal but all levels of experience considered. Welding/Fabrication skills a plus.

Ski School Apprentice
The Alf Engen Ski School is hiring motivated and hard-working individuals to work as aides to the certified instructors. Individuals employed in this role will work as aides to lead certified instructors during the course of the lesson, as well as perform other duties as needed to facilitate the smooth operation of Alta's Ski Adventure programs for children.
At this time the Alta Ski Area does not have company housing available for those employed as Ski School Apprentices.
Ski Adventure Center Coordinator
The Alf Engen Ski School is now hiring enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our dedicated team in a non-teaching role. The opening is for a full-time position working Monday-Friday and holidays. Ski Adventure Center Coordinators are support personnel who perform a variety of duties that assure the smooth operation of the children’s Ski Adventure Programs. Individuals employed in this role will assist young children in our indoor facility, before, during and after lesson times. They will also help with registration, organize and serve lunch.

Part-time seasonal position. Starting mid-December through early April.
Shifts are three days a week - Recreational Racing on Fridays and Saturdays and Town Race Series on Tuesdays.
Duties include course setting, course maintenance, time keeping and result calculation. Strong skiing ability required. Racing and/or coaching experience helpful.

Alta is looking for someone to join our full-time seasonal snow removal and shop fabrication team. Heavy equipment experience, fabrication skills and tool use is preferred but not required. Job duties include operation of heavy equipment and snow removal from parking areas and roadways.

Albion Grill - Winter Season
The Albion Grill is a cafeteria located at the Albion Base Area, next to the Sunnyside lift and Ski School. We are looking for enthusiastic people that love working in the mountains and enjoy serving awesome food to our skiers. We offer organic hamburgers and deli meat sandwiches as well as cookies made from scratch.
Winter employment begins in mid- November and continues through the middle to end of April. Many positions and shifts available.
Alf's Restaurant is a mid-mountain cafeteria-style restaurant & day lodge located at the base of the Sugarloaf lift and the new Supreme lift. Alf's offers employment, housing and ski benefits.
Alf's Restaurant will begin hiring for the upcoming ski season in late September. Employment begins in late November and continues through the middle to end of April. We will have positions available for full-time live in and part-time live out cafeteria help. Full-time employees are required to live on the mountain.
Full-time live in
The full-time live in positions are great for people who want to ski every day this winter. These jobs are 5 days per week and the hours vary, but there is ski time every day. The housing is dorm style and is located near the base of the Sugarloaf and Supreme lifts halfway up the mountain. The lift is less than 50 yards from the door! Part-time live out
The part-time position is 14 hours per week. These positions are 2 days a week. The hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work includes, but is not limited to food prep, deli work, bussing tables, snow removal, etc. Ski privileges are included. Housing is not available for these positions.
