Lift Ticket Attendant
Skier Services is looking for outgoing, friendly, helpful and welcoming individuals for the upcoming ski season. This position assists our skiers with our Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) ticketing system.
Shifts may vary each day from 4.5 hours to 7.5 hours.
Job duties include:
- Monitoring tickets at the RFID gates
- Helping skiers with ticket issues
- Directing skiers to our ticket office areas.
- This is an outdoor position where employees need to be standing at the RFID lift gates.
- Candidates must be capable of skiing in varied snow conditions to get to your assigned work location.
Employee housing is not available.
Candidates should expect to work from mid-November thru the end of April.
PSIA Certified Ski Instructor
The Alf Engen Ski School is hiring Certified Ski Pros to teach alpine and telemark skiing to adults, children and families for the 2018-2019 season.

Ski Adventure Center Coordinator
The Alf Engen Ski School is now hiring enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our dedicated team in a non-teaching role. The opening is for a part-time position working weekends and holidays. Ski Adventure Center Coordinators are support personnel who perform a variety of duties that assure the smooth operation of the children’s Ski Adventure Programs. Coordinator qualifications include:
- Must have a high comfort level and experience working with young children

Individuals employed in this role will assist young children in our indoor facility, before, during and after lesson times. They will also help with registration, organize and serve lunch.

Shifts are three days a week - Recreational Racing on Fridays and Saturdays and Town Race Series on Tuesdays.

Alta Ticket Sales is now hiring full and part-time positions for the upcoming ski season. We are seeking reliable candidates who not only love skiing and being in the mountains but also enjoy providing excellent customer service while serving the public. Applicants should have a positive and friendly attitude with the ability to be organized and detail oriented. All applicants are required to have cashiering and computer skills and a minimum blue level skiing ability. Ski Shop Employees
Our new ski shop manager Duke is looking for qualified candidates to fill seasonal positions in our Demo, Tuning and Retail Ski Shops.
Ideal candidates should love skiing as much as we do, have a friendly and positive attitude and enjoy working with the public. Cashier and/or POS experience is helpful, as well as previous ski, rental or outdoor shop experience. A neat and well groomed appearance is required for all positions. Intermediate skiing ability is important for some positions, as some shops are located mid-mountain requiring skiing. Experienced ski techs need a background in ski tuning, mounting and adjusting ski bindings. Most positions are full time (30-40 hours per week) with some part-time positions available. Do you love to cook and ski? The Buckhorn Kitchen staff prepare meals for employees that live in company housing on the mountain. This position is for a full-time employee with on-mountain housing. We are looking for independent, hard-working and creative cooks. Schedule will vary day-to-day with some early mornings. This position allows for great ski time.
Some kitchen experience needed. He or she must be very conscious of cleanliness and food safety and perform duties unsupervised.
It is required that you live in employee housing, possibly with a roommate.
Snowcat operators maintain our machine groomed runs at Alta.
This is a full-time position. Shifts are 4:30 pm to 12:30 am or 12:30 am to 8:30 am. Both shifts are five days a week. The crews rotate shifts mid-season.

Albion Grill - Winter Season
The Albion Grill is a cafeteria located at the Albion Base Area, next to the Sunnyside lift and Ski School. We are looking for enthusiastic people that love working in the mountains and enjoy serving awesome food to our skiers. We offer organic hamburgers and deli meat sandwiches as well as cookies made from scratch.
Winter employment begins in mid- November and continues through the middle to end of April. Many positions and shifts available.
Alf's Restaurant is a mid-mountain cafeteria-style restaurant & day lodge located at the base of the Sugarloaf lift and the new Supreme lift. Alf's offers employment, housing and ski benefits.
Alf's Restaurant will begin hiring for the upcoming ski season in late September. Employment begins in late November and continues through the middle to end of April. We will have positions available for full-time live in and part-time live out cafeteria help. Full-time employees are required to live on the mountain.
Full-time live in
The full-time live in positions are great for people who want to ski every day this winter. These jobs are 5 days per week and the hours vary, but there is ski time every day. The housing is dorm style and is located near the base of the Sugarloaf and Supreme lifts halfway up the mountain. The lift is less than 50 yards from the door! Part-time live out
The part-time position is 14 hours per week. These positions are 2 days a week. The hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work includes, but is not limited to food prep, deli work, bussing tables, snow removal, etc. Ski privileges are included. Housing is not available for these positions.

In the style of a European on-mountain bistro, Collins Grill is an unpretentious, full-service restaurant located on the 3rd level of Watson Shelter. Hearty rabbit stew, Morgan Valley organic lamb shanks and poached egg arugula salad are a few signature dishes on our rotating menu.
We are hiring for three to five shifts a week approximately six hours per shift.

Benefits at Collins Grill are the same as all other Alta Ski Area employee benefits. We offer ski privileges and on-mountain lockers.

Watson Shelter Café
Watson Shelter is located mid-mountain. The Watson Café isn’t your average ski cafeteria. We serve grass-fed beef, organic soups and deli meats and as many local products as possible. We are looking for motivated individuals who care about quality food and great skiing.
Full-time and Part-time positions are available.
Shifts are four to five hours per day, three to five times per week.
No housing is available at Watson Shelter Cafe.
