Lift Ticket Attendant
Skier Services is looking for friendly and helpful team members to work at our lift base areas. This position enables you to interact with our skiers and gives you the opportunity to have ski breaks throughout the workday.
Shifts average 6.5 to 7 hours per day.
Job duties include:
- Monitoring tickets at the RFID gates
- Helping skiers with ticket issues
- Directing skiers to our ticket office areas.
- This is an outdoor position where employees need to be standing at the RFID lift gates.
- Candidates must be capable of skiing in varied snow conditions to get to your assigned work location.
Employee housing may be available for full-time employees.
Candidates should expect to work thru the end of April.

Lift Operators play an essential role in mountain operations. They spend their days outside interacting with our skiers. They maintain areas around lifts and tows in all kinds of weather. Skiing opportunities are available every day.

This is a full-time seasonal position. Shifts are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week. Applicants must be able to pass the pre-employment physical screening.
Job duties include:
- Working with all departments and employees on mountain operations

- Operating lifts and tows and monitoring loading and unloading
- Keeping areas around the lifts and tows maintained

Alf's Restaurant is a mid-mountain cafeteria-style restaurant & day lodge located at the base of the Sugarloaf lift and the new Supreme lift. Alf's offers employment, housing and ski benefits.
Alf's Restaurant will begin hiring for the upcoming ski season in September. Employment begins in late November and continues through the middle to end of April. We will have positions available for full-time live in and part-time live out cafeteria help. Full-time employees are required to live on the mountain.
Full-time live in
The full-time live in positions are great for people who want to ski every day this winter. These jobs are 5 days per week and the hours vary, but there is ski time every day. The housing is dorm style and is located near the base of the Sugarloaf and Supreme lifts halfway up the mountain. The lift is less than 50 yards from the door! Part-time live out
The part-time position is 14 hours per week. These positions are 2 days a week. The hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work includes, but is not limited to food prep, deli work, bussing tables, snow removal, etc. Ski privileges are included. Housing is not available for these positions.

Watson Shelter Café
Watson Shelter is located mid-mountain in Collins Gulch. Come work surrounded by stunning views and an enthusiastic crew. We serve Utah grass-fed beef, organic soups and hand tossed pizza as well as many other local products. We are looking for motivated individuals who care about serving great quality food and love to ski.
Full-time and Part-time positions are available.
Shifts are four to five hours per day, three to five times per week.
We are hiring line managers, line workers, snow removal and afternoon custodians.

In the style of a European on-mountain bistro, Collins Grill is an unpretentious, full-service restaurant located on the 3rd level of Watson Shelter. White table cloths, cozy slippers and incredible mountain views are a few unique features for this ski-in/ski-out gem. Open for lunch, a few signature dishes consist of hearty rabbit stew, braised organic lamb shanks and poached egg arugula salads. We offer daily specials and a rotating menu.
We are hiring experienced prep cooks and dishwashers, three to five shifts a week approximately six hours per shift.

Albion Grill - Winter Season
The Albion Grill is a full-service cafeteria located at the Albion Base Area, next to the Sunnyside Lift and Alf Engen Ski School. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team and experience an Alta winter. Our cafeteria offers a "cook to order" breakfast line and many different lunch offerings such as a popular deli line, grill menu, as well as homemade soups and chili. The Albion Grill prides itself on serving locally sourced items and house-made bakery items.
We have open positions for grill cooks, deli-line workers, cashiers and dishwashers. There are part-time as well as full-time opportunities. Part-time shifts will generally be from 7am to 2pm or 11am to 6pm. The Lift Department is looking for a Ski Lift Mechanic. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment associated with ski lifts. Must be able to think critically and solve problems quickly. He/She will also be responsible for the preventive maintenance of fixed grip and detachable ski lifts. Must be comfortable working at heights and skiing expert terrain.
This is a year-round full-time position.
5 years experience is optimal but all levels of experience considered. Welding/Fabrication skills a plus.

Shifts are three days a week - Recreational Racing on Fridays and Saturdays and Town Race Series on Tuesdays.

We are looking for a self-motivated full-time seasonal skier from early November to early May to help maintain our facilities.
This is a five-day split shift with a daily break in the morning or afternoon.
Applicant must be an intermediate skier to fulfill job duties around the mountain. Responsibilities include: snow removal, cleaning restrooms and offices, upkeep of the dormitory facility and assisting BM technicians when necessary.
Snowcat Operators maintain our machine groomed runs at Alta.
This is a full-time position. Shifts are 4:30pm–12:30 am or 12:30am–8:30am. Both shifts are five days a week. The crews rotate shifts mid-season.
Job duties include:
- Packing new snow
- Grooming and plowing ski runs
- Previous equipment operator's experience needed
- On-site housing may be available.
Alta is looking for someone to join our full-time seasonal snow removal and shop fabrication team. Heavy equipment experience, fabrication skills and tool use is preferred but not required. Job duties include operation of heavy equipment and snow removal from parking areas and roadways.
