Skills required: Ability to ski blue terrain comfortably
Alta Youth Club (AYC) is a recreational ski program for ages 8–13. This program includes skill drills, powder skiing, mogul skiing, racing and jumping. The mission of AYC is to have fun while developing well-rounded skiing skills. The minimum skill level is to be able to confidently ski parallel turns with a pole plant on blue trails. AYC coaches will often use less difficult terrain to enhance and develop skiing skills. More difficult terrain is used sparingly in the lesson plan to expand comfort zone and create excitement. Skill level, age and conditions determine appropriate activities and terrain for a group.
AYC consists of skiing 12 Saturdays or 12 Sundays with a group of peers and coaches. The approximate coaching ratio is 1 to 8 participants.

Requirements
Ages: Ages 8–13 | must be age 8 on or before December 6, 2025.
Skills Required: Confidently ski parallel turns with a pole plant on blue trails. Ability to ride lifts without an adult.

Parking Permits
Starting December 12th, parking reservations are required Friday–Sunday & holidays. Contact the ski school office to purchase a parking permit valid for the dates of your child's program at $10 daily. For more information, call the Alf Engen Ski School at 801.799.2271.
