Alta snowmakers have happily been put out of work by Mother Nature.
By all accounts, Alta's dozen-and-a-half snowmakers are finishing up their best season ever. Diligent summer equipment maintenance, stints of cold, dry air and the crew's desire to make snow that their mother would like to ski have given us nice base coverage.
A couple of more nights of work on Collins face, Roller Coaster and a few miscellaneous places and the portable guns will all be moved to the base.
