Alta Environmental Center Winter Events

A.E.C. Winter Events

By Jen Melton 12-25-2019

Join in on the Alta Environmental Center’s Winter Events.

Every year, the Alta Environmental Center (AEC) and its partners, the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, Tracy Aviary, and the U.S. Forest Service Salt Lake Ranger District host winter events that are open to the public. These events provide an opportunity to learn more about the ecology and environment of Alta and Little Cottonwood Canyon, as well as the critters that call Alta home. Make plans to join us at one of our many winter events.

If you can't make it to Alta for one of these great events, follow along with some of Alta Environmental Center's ongoing studies. Alta Ski Area, along with WildUtah, Tracy Aviary, Utah State University, and the Utah Department of Natural Resources, have partnered in a Black Rosy-finch study to gain the baseline information needed to keep these birds thriving.
