The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation is proud to partner with Alta to offer $10 per person, naturalist-led snowshoe tours through Alta's famous powder! Look for animal tracks and learn about the wildlife that left them, all while surrounded by some of Utah's most beautiful mountains. Naturalist guides talk about everything from animal adaptations and trees, to the history of Little Cottonwood Canyon and Alta!
To participate in this tour, you are required to wear a multi-layer face covering over your nose and mouth. You must maintain a six-foot distance between yourself and others not in your household. Tour sizes will not exceed 10 total individuals to allow for proper distancing at all times. Additionally, please stay home if you are feeling unwell.

What to bring
Snowshoes, snowboots, sunscreen, water as well as several layers of warm clothing, including snow pants, a warm winter jacket, snow boots, gloves, etc.
Snowshoes are not provided, so please bring your own set of snowshoes. Snowshoe rentals available at the Alta Ski Shop.
Where to meet
15 minutes before noon outside the east end of the Albion Day Lodge near the ski racks.
Take your students on a field trip they won't forget! Connect students with the basic science of their watershed and the natural history of the area. Call for more info and to schedule an outing.
Pre-registration and payment are required to secure your spot! Snowshoe tours are limited, so registration for a particular date will be pending our email confirmation after you have submitted this form.
