Join us on Wednesday, November 24th for Opening Day of our 84th winter.
Alta's 84th season is officially underway.
Lift, Grooming & trail status
Alta is open with Collins, Sugarloaf and Wildcat. Expert and intermediate conditions exist with no access to beginner terrain. There is limited snow coverage and please remember to ski in control.
We've also been working to adapt our COVID-19 policies to this upcoming season, taking into consideration increased vaccination rates and new directives from the CDC and local health authorities.
Mask will still be required in all indoor settings except when seated and actively eating or drinking. We still strongly encourage mask-wearing whenever social distancing cannot be achieved, however, masks will no longer be required in lift lines or outdoors. In an effort to keep Alta skiers skiing, rather than waiting in lift lines, we will be loading our lifts at full capacity this winter.
Our winter operations will follow the latest COVID-19 guidelines specified by the State of Utah, Salt Lake County Health Department and the Town of Alta. Skiers should be aware that a potential risk of visiting the ski area may include exposure to COVID-19 and becoming infected. While our operational changes and COVID-19 protocols may reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we also need your help, patience and cooperation. Be patient. Be courteous. We're all in this together.
Food and drink
As you may have heard, Alta is now requiring parking reservations on weekends & holidays from 8am-1pm, This new parking reservation system does not go into effect until December 18th. Parking reservations will not be required on Opening Day. There will be no UTA Ski Bus until December 12th, 2021.
