As Alta Ski Area celebrates its 88th anniversary season, Alta continues to honor skiing pioneers with free daily skiing and a $50 season pass.

As Alta Ski Area celebrates its 88th season, we continue to honor 80+-year-olds by offering free skiing. Grab a free daily lift ticket or purchase the 80+ Season Pass for $50 and enjoy direct-to-lift skiing and other perks, all season long.

2025–26 80+ lift ticket | Free

Anyone aged 80-plus can ski for free at Alta. Stop by any Alta ticket window at the Albion or Wildcat base area, show a valid ID and receive an All-Area Day Pass for free.

This lift ticket is only available at Alta ticket windows and cannot be purchased online.

2025–26 80+ Season Pass | $50

2026–27 80+ Season Pass will go on sale in early May.

If you are an Alta regular and wish to skip the ticket window, Alta offers an 80+ Season Pass for just $50. The pass can be purchased online. You must be at 80+ years old and have a valid ID at the time of pass pickup.

Benefits of the 80+ Season Pass:

  • Direct-to-lift skiing—save time and skip the ticket window each morning
  • One complimentary Friday–Sunday & holiday parking reservation
  • No blackout dates
  • Alta 80+ Passholders receive free access to the UTA Ski Bus during the 2025-26 winter season—must present pass
  • On-mountain charging: the 80+ Season Pass can also be tied to a credit card. Leave your credit card at home and use your season pass to pay at Alta restaurants, the Alf Engen Ski School and all Alta Ski Shop locations.
